alumni met with FUEL students to discuss career pathways

Our theme this year at FUEL for Black History Month was Black Excellence & Perseverance. One way FUEL again on Black Excellence this past week is by inviting Black Ferndale graduates from FHS and UHS into the classrooms to speak to students about their experiences growing up and graduating from Ferndale. They inspired students by sharing what their path to their current career has been, their history growing up in Ferndale schools, and the many ways in which they have persevered and been UNSTOPPABLE in their own lives. Our students were incredibly excited to learn from each guest speaker. We are thankful to have so many successful Ferndale graduates who can motivate current students to strive for excellence!

Special thank you to our graduates who came to speak:
Johnnie Peoples '95, Joshua Nicks '14, Andrese Cockroft '14, Baxter Hall '99, Meagan Lewis, ‘99, Quinn Wright '99, Travis Wilder '00, Byron Sanders ‘99, Wesley Morgan ‘99, Tiffany Brockington ‘10 . Thank you also to our career speakers, Laurie Alexander, Ed Hightower, Tyler Logan, and Victoria Grimes!

We are so grateful for your support and your inspiring stories!
