FUEL hosted their annual Battle of the Books last month, with 25 teams in competition. The winning team of Battle was the Knights of the Periodic Table (Blake Gokey, Leo Heydel, Jonathan Oatley, Soren Tess) They scored 32 points out of 40 possible points. They were beyond happy! Special note that they each had a sticky note on their shirt with a different element: Na (Sodium), Ri (Rhodium), Au (Gold), and Ne (Neon). The runner up team was Starbook's Frappuccino (Alma Cohoon, August Molnar, Zara Peterson), with a close 29 points. The winning team will have their names engraved on a Battle plaque that hangs at the school.
The winner of Best Team Name was The Three Flufferoony's (Phoebe Duncan, Evie Takashima, Ariana Vultaggio). They each got a Best Team Name button and as you can see from the picture they were very excited to have won.
