In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month Ms. Jenelle, FUEL's Mental Health Specialist, in collaboration with Communities In Schools' Ms. Tiffany, led initiatives to raise awareness and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health wellness. This weeklong celebration focused on promoting positivity, resilience, and self-care among students and staff. Activities included dress up days like "Buddy Day" where students and staff dressed alike to demonstrate unity and support within the FUEL community.
Another highlight of the week was the introduction of a new mindfulness pathway with affirmations on each step, providing students with a moment for reflection and empowerment as they go about their day. As well as a window art installation of student-created butterflies with positive affirmations.
