This week, our awesome 5th grade student leaders from Student Voices for Healthy Choices put on grade level mindfulness and yoga assemblies! These sessions shared mindfulness tools including breathwork and staying present, as well as allowing students to participate in a short yoga session. The students practiced not being distracted by things around them which is an extremely relevant skill to have a grasp on! These assemblies were a great addition to our celebration of Mental Health Awareness Month in May!
