On Thursday, November 21, the Ferndale High School auditorium was alive with excitement as the 5th graders of FUEL took the stage for their grade-level concert, Game Night! Under the direction of Mrs. Duncanson, FUEL’s music teacher, the evening showcased the talents and teamwork of seven fifth-grade classes in a joyful celebration of music and games.

The theme, Game Night!, inspired a dynamic program of songs about classic board games and fun family traditions. The students sang, danced, and played a variety of instruments, including xylophones, drums, and more. The audience was treated to heartfelt solos and energetic group performances that demonstrated the hard work and dedication the students had put into their preparation.

This concert was particularly special because it marked the first grade-level performance for these students, who had missed similar opportunities in earlier years due to COVID-19 and other challenges. Their enthusiasm and joy radiated throughout the auditorium, reminding everyone of the resilience and creativity of young learners.

From start to finish, Game Night! was a celebration of music, community, and fun. Mrs. Duncanson praised the students for their dedication, noting how proud she was of their ability to come together and shine in their first concert experience.

Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the 5th graders in making Game Night! an event to remember. Bravo to our talented students and to the wonderful FPS staff, for a job well done!
