Are you interested in earning an associate’s degree while still in high school? Ferndale Public Schools offers two early college programs through Oakland Community College:
Accelerated College Experience (ACE)
Oakland Technical Early College (OTEC)
Both programs require an application during the second semester of 10th grade and include an additional year of high school.
If you’d like to earn college credits without extending your high school years, dual enrollment may be a great option for you! Students who earn a qualifying score on the PSAT* or SAT** are eligible to apply.
To make dual enrollment more convenient, Ferndale Public Schools has partnered with the University of Michigan-Dearborn to offer a dual enrollment class in-district starting in Fall 2025.
