Ferndale Public Schools and Communities in Schools have been awarded a $136K grant to expand our existing partnership which supports student attendance and achievement at Ferndale Middle School and Ferndale Lower Elementary School. Funds have also been awarded to begin providing attendance and achievement support at University High School along with a student success coordinator. Interim Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment Tom Maes said, "We are excited to begin planning for and providing the new and additional supports immediately." The grant is provided by the Michigan Department of Education.
