Oakland Schools, in partnership with The JEDI Council, Oakland University, and the Initiative for Eradicating Racism, invited educators, school leaders, and advocates to attend the JEDI Educator Summit.
The summit was held on Friday, Oct. 11, from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Oakland Schools Main Campus. The day was filled with transformative learning that focused on equity, inclusion, and justice in education.
This event was designed to enhance the capacity of culturally responsive educators, inclusive school leaders, and student advocates. It provided a powerful space for educators to engage with cutting-edge strategies, evidence-based practices, and community-centered discussions on fostering equity in classrooms and school communities.
