Fashion Design

Last week, students in Zoe Farr's innovative Fashion Design course at University High School wowed the crowd with a one-of-a-kind fashion show featuring creations made entirely from reclaimed materials. From chic bags to bold hats and stylish clothing, these talented young designers transformed everyday items like playing cards, plastic bags, and neckties into runway-worthy fashion statements. The show was a celebration of resourcefulness, creativity, and the power of reimagining the ordinary into the extraordinary.

The Fashion Design course, which grew out of student requests, is brand new to UHS this year, and it’s already a smash hit! Under the guidance of Ms. Farr, students are not only learning valuable skills in design and construction but also exploring sustainable practices in fashion. Their enthusiasm and talent shone brightly during the show, proving that this course is already making a huge impact. The future of fashion at UHS is looking more stylish—and more sustainable—than ever!
